Are you planning to visit Uganda for your business trip and thinking about the park to go for wildlife safari? It is Murchison Falls National Park you can think about as it is much easier to book your last-minute discounted scheduled Uganda tours that you can easily take on individual or group basis.
During July this year 2022 I was in Uganda on a business trip and after my meetings with various companies I wanted to do a short wildlife safari in Uganda and my host Moses advised and organized a 03-day Murchison safari that was so awesome.
On my day of start my guide picked me up from Latitude Hotel, Kampala and then we started our journey to the Murchison Falls National Park and with our scenic drive through the green covers and undulating landscapes we had an en-route visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the foot rhino tracking with lunch and thereafter traveled to the top of the falls through the Budongo Eco forest.
The drive through Budongo forest is so much rewarding with the astonishing view of the green canopies and nice bird songs. Reaching at the top of the falls it is so interesting viewing the River Nile flowing through the rock gorge towards the delta.
After drive towards the northern side of the park over the River Nile bridge and as you drive to the Pakuba Lodge take an en-route game drive looking for the African wildlife and bird life species. Upon arrival check-in into our rooms and then dinner.
The Pakuba Lodge is situated inside the park and staying here you have more chances listening to the wildlife roaring in the night and the lodge is an eco-friendly premise that blends with nature.
Today, after our early morning breakfast embark the safari vehicle and transfer to the game drive looking for the other African big5 wildlife like Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes and then the giraffes, water and bush bucks, Kobs among others.
This experience takes 3 – 4 hours following various tracks looking for the wildlife and after return to the lodge for the hot lunch and after the lunch drive towards the shores of River Nile at Paraa and wait for the cruise.
Thereafter, at around 2 PM started the boat cruise along the shores of the River Nile looking for more wildlife, amphibians and birds at the banks of the River. The cruise takes like 2 – 3 hours towards the bottom of the falls and after return back to starting point. Then overnight stay again to the previous lodge in the middle of the park. From this lodge and from the proper arrangement of our service provider we had full board nights and staying here is so awesome.
On our last day after breakfast, we embarked our safari vehicle and then traveled back to Kampala and with lunch en-route at Kabalega dinner and then we were dropped again to our Latitude Hotel in Kampala.
